COLUMBUS – State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today announced the passage of House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) 7 out of the Ohio House of Representatives. HCR 7 expresses the legislature’s support of the American Legion Buckeye Boys State & Buckeye Girls State.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today announced the passage of House Bill (HB) 44 and House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) 6 out of the Ohio House of Representatives. 

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today voted “NO” on the Republican state operating budget, House Bill (HB) 96, because it arbitrarily and recklessly slashes critical state funding areas while failing to benefit everyday Ohioans. Rather than provide real and meaningful support to Ohio’s citizens, House Republicans chose to dismantle the constitutional and bipartisan fair school funding formula, dump more taxpayer money into vouchers for charter non-public and private schools that benefit the wealthiest Ohioans, and authorize a $600M handout to billionaires to build a new Browns stadium outside of Cleveland amidst opposition by local leaders.

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today celebrated the newest addition to the “Trails & Tales” program being produced by America 250-Ohio, the Ohio Creativity Trail. Lorain Public Library’s very own Toni Morrison Room is one such stop on the trail, offering a cozy reading room in the library that had nurtured the author’s love of literature. The America 250- Ohio Commission coordinated closely with each venue and their associated convention and visitors bureau on the trail to help them make the most of the opportunity to drive local visitation and support economic development. 

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) - spoke today with Director Brian Baldridge of the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA)  regarding the spread of avian flu and its impact on the poultry industry. Ohio, on average, is the second largest producer of eggs in the nation, producing 10 billion eggs annually which contributes $3.3 billion to the state economy.  To date, roughly 9 million birds have been culled in Ohio since the first noted cases in 2022, with another 8 million having been culled since December 2024.

Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today announced the Controlling Board’s approval of two funding requests: $197,741 for a Lorain County Community College Campus Safety Grant and $69,816 for an Avon Lake park project through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’s NatureWorks Program.
