COLUMBUS – State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today announced that he will soon be introducing a bill to designate a portion of State Route (SR) 6 as the “Officer Phillip Wagner Memorial Highway.” Lorain Police Officer Phillip Wagner tragically was killed in the line of duty on Thursday, July 24th, 2025 after being ambushed while eating lunch with another Lorain police officer.

Miller (D-Amherst) today voted “NO” on House Bill (HB) 96, the Republican-crafted state operating budget, citing cruel and chaotic cuts and its abject failure to invest in children, public education, healthcare, and basic services – all while shoveling billions to the wealthy and well-connected. 

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today announced the passage of House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) 7 out of the Ohio House of Representatives. HCR 7 expresses the legislature’s support of the American Legion Buckeye Boys State & Buckeye Girls State.
