COLUMBUS — State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) Wednesday condemned the passage of anti-voter Senate Bill (SB) 293 which places new burdens on voters by adding unnecessary hurdles to the voting process and shortening the time available for Ohioans to make their voices heard.

COLUMBUS — State Reps. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) and Kevin Miller (R-Newark) Wednesday celebrated the Ohio House and Senate’s passage of House Bill (HB) 44, which streamlines the process of filling vacant police officer positions and making training more accessible. The bipartisan bill passed with a vote of 91-1 in the Ohio House of Representatives and unanimously in the Ohio Senate.

Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today voted “NO” on the Republican state operating budget, House Bill (HB) 96, because it arbitrarily and recklessly slashes critical state funding areas while failing to benefit everyday Ohioans. Rather than provide real and meaningful support to Ohio’s citizens, House Republicans chose to dismantle the constitutional and bipartisan fair school funding formula, dump more taxpayer money into vouchers for charter non-public and private schools that benefit the wealthiest Ohioans, and authorize a $600M handout to billionaires to build a new Browns stadium outside of Cleveland amidst opposition by local leaders.

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) today celebrated the newest addition to the “Trails & Tales” program being produced by America 250-Ohio, the Ohio Creativity Trail. Lorain Public Library’s very own Toni Morrison Room is one such stop on the trail, offering a cozy reading room in the library that had nurtured the author’s love of literature. The America 250- Ohio Commission coordinated closely with each venue and their associated convention and visitors bureau on the trail to help them make the most of the opportunity to drive local visitation and support economic development.
