COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers, Jr. (D-Toledo) today announced that he has been appointed to serve on the Council of State Governments Midwest Midwest-Canada Relations Committee.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers Jr. (D-Toledo) today announced the unanimous passage of House Bill (HB) 228 out of the Ohio House of Representatives. HB 228 designates a portion of Interstate Route 280, specifically between Navarre Avenue and Front Street in Lucas County, as the “SSG Jack W. Coy Veterans Memorial Highway.” Staff Sergeant Coy, a Toledo, native was killed during World War II.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers Jr. (D-Toledo) commented on the passage of House Bill (HB 15). HB 15 repeals the OVEC fees from the corrupt HB 6 and provides more transparency in the utilities’ rate review process.

COLUMBUS – State Reps. Elgin Rogers, Jr. (D-Toledo) and Brian Lorenz (R-Powell) introduced bipartisan House Bill (HB) 207 to designate June as "Male Wellness Month" and the third Monday in June as "Take Your Dad to the Doctor and Dentist Day," also known as DAD Day. 

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers, Jr. (D-Toledo) along with members of the Ohio House and Ohio Senate announced the creation of the Ohio Trucking Caucus.  This is a bipartisan effort to ensure that Ohio remains a leader in the trucking industry and logistics. The Ohio Trucking Caucus will work to help expand business and job opportunities for all of Ohio. Additionally, the goods and services provided by the trucking and logistics industry are the lifeblood of Ohio’s economy.

COLUMBUS — State Reps. Elgin Rogers Jr. (D-Toledo) and Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) have recently introduced House Bill (HB) 180 to provide additional protections for Ohioans who volunteer to work the polls on any registration or election day.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers, Jr. (D-Toledo) voted to pass the bipartisan Ohio Transportation Budget (House Bill 54) through the Ohio House of Representatives. The budget’s appropriation of $11.5B is a significant investment into the future of Ohio jobs, connecting the workforce to the worksite, and the bill will improve roads, bridges, and transit systems across Ohio.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers, Jr. (D-Toledo) today announced that he was appointed as ranking member for the powerful House Natural Resources Committee for the 136th General Assembly.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers, Jr. (D-Toledo) Monday was sworn into the 136th Ohio General Assembly. Rep. Rogers now represents Ohio House District 42 which includes Toledo, Oregon, and Jerusalem Township all located within Lucas County. The newly constructed House district covers some portions of the previous House District 44 which covered portions of Lucas, Ottawa, and Wood counties.
