Rep. Elgin Rogers, Jr. Announces New House Committee Assignments

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers, Jr. (D-Toledo) today announced that he was appointed as ranking member for the powerful House Natural Resources Committee for the 136th General Assembly.

“Ensuring Ohio’s natural riches can be enjoyed by every Ohioan while helping to improve the quality and opportunity this great state has to offer is no easy task. The Natural Resources Committee will have a tough task ahead. I am committed to making sure every Ohioan shares in our state’s treasures,” said Rep. Rogers.

The House Natural Resources Committee will be focused on the work of protecting and expanding Ohio’s natural resources like state parks and Lake Erie. It has also been designated as the committee in charge of Ohio’s laws regarding oil and natural gas resources.

Rep. Rogers has served as the top-ranking Democrat on the House Energy and Natural Resources committee during the 135th General Assembly, which no longer exists.
