Rep. Rogers Announces Midwestern Legislative Conference Committee Assignment

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers, Jr. (D-Toledo) today announced that he has been appointed to serve on the Council of State Governments Midwest Midwest-Canada Relations Committee.

“It is with great excitement that I accept this opportunity to work with our Canadian allies to further develop and strengthen our mutual interests. Ohio’s longstanding relationship with Canada has been vital in our economic growth, and prosperity. I look forward to the cultural exchange, and regional cooperation emanating from this committee,” said Rep. Rogers.

The purpose of the nonpartisan Midwestern Legislative Conference is to foster cooperation among the region’s policymakers through the consideration of common problems, the exchange of information and ideas, the sharing of knowledge, and the pursuit of collaborative efforts to improve state government.
