State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) voted in opposition Wednesday to House Bill (HB) 157, legislation that would prohibit the collection of income taxes from workers who aren’t physically in an office inside the city or village limits.

COLUMBUS— Today, Rep. Juanita O. Brent (D-Cleveland) applauded the House passage of Senate Bill (SB) 108 and SB 109. SB 108 would provide $125 million in grants to bars, restaurants and lodging businesses impacted by COVID-19, while SB 109 would provide $556.9 million in grants to businesses, child care providers, assistance programs, local fairs, and veterans homes which have been impacted by COVID-19. The funding for these bills comes from federal CARES Act funding.
