Rep. Brent Recognizes 4/20 as Cannabis Day

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Juanita O. Brent (D-Cleveland) released the following statement on 4/20:

“Ohio must stop criminalizing a plant,” said Rep. Brent.“Ohioans want to legalize adult use of cannabis to keep tax dollars and families in the state. Thousands of Ohioans are being pointlessly arrested yearly for possession of cannabis, with Black Ohioans being over three-times more likely to be arrested compared to their white counterparts. I will continue to sponsor bills like House Bill 60 and House Bill 382 from the 134th General Assembly that increases access for Ohioans’ medical cannabis and recreational needs.”
