Representative Troy Secures $15,328 for Lake County Homeless Shelter

COLUMBUS - State Representative Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) secured funding so that Project Hope for the Homeless will receive $15,328 from the recently passed State Capital Budget. Since 1993, nearly 9,000 children and adults experiencing homelessness in Northeast Ohio have received shelter, care, and guidance through Project Hope for the Homeless, the only emergency shelter in Lake County, Ohio.

Rep. Troy Announces Passage of Final State Capital Budget, Securing Transformative Community Investments in Lake & Eastern Cuyahoga Counties

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) today announced the passage of House Bill (HB) 2, the state's biennial state capital budget, in both the Ohio House of Representatives & Senate. The record-setting $6.2B investment makes appropriations for state-owned infrastructure, colleges, universities, and school districts as well as other community projects.

Rep. Troy Announces $106K for Lake County Fair Board

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) today announced funding for The Lake County Agricultural Society. These allocations are part of a larger $10M in grants for all 94 county and independent fairs across the state. Funding was awarded by Ohio’s County and Independent Fair Grant Program, with the intent to provide local agricultural societies with the capital to make improvements such as upgrades to grounds, electrical and sanitation systems, machinery and equipment, and ADA accommodations.

Rep. Troy Slams House Bill 344 for Expanding Corporate Tax Loophole, Shifting More Property Taxes onto Ohio Homeowners

COLUMBUS – State Representative Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick), ranking member of the Ohio House Ways and Means Committee, today spoke out against House Bill (HB) 344, which passed out of the committee this week by a 10-6 vote along party lines. The legislation eliminates the ability to propose replacement levies for voter approval, and further restricts the tax complaint process for large, significantly undervalued properties.
