COLUMBUS – The Ohio Jewish Caucus Monday night hosted its third annual traditional Seder at the Ohio Statehouse surrounded by friends, family, and colleagues to celebrate the Jewish traditions of Passover. 

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Jewish Caucus today released the following statement concerning the use of an offensive Nazi reference by U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) aimed at Minority Leader of the United States Senate Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the highest ranking Jewish person in the U.S. government: 

COLUMBUS — State Reps. Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati), Dontavius Jarrells (D-Columbus), and Terrence Upchurch (D-Cleveland) today united in calling for a pause on a proposed stadium financing plan that could cost Ohio taxpayers more than $1B over the next three decades. A letter to Finance Committee Chair Brian Stewart (R-Ashville) and Arts, Athletics, and Tourism Committee Chair Melanie Miller (R-Ashland) demanded greater transparency, additional hearings, and public accountability before any deal moves forward.

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Jewish Caucus today issued the following statement honoring International Holocaust Remembrance Day in memory of the six million Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust and the millions of other victims at the hands of Nazi persecution, and the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp: 

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati) today announced his assignment as ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee for the 136th General Assembly. In addition, Rep. Isaacsohn will serve as a voting member on the House Finance Committee and House Energy Committee. 

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati) today commended the signing of Senate Bill (SB) 237, enacting the Uniform Public Expression Protection Act. This bill, sponsored by Senator Theresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green) and Senator Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville), protects individuals from lawsuits concerning their protected speech, clarifies the jurisdiction of small claims court, and prohibits eviction filings from listing minors as defendants.

COLUMBUS - Today, the Ohio Jewish Caucus celebrated its expansion into both legislative chambers at the Ohio Statehouse and increased membership with the start of the 136th General Assembly. 

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati) Monday was officially sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 136th General Assembly. Rep. Isaacsohn is beginning his second term in the legislature serving House District 24, which includes downtown Cincinnati and neighboring communities. Rep. Isaacsohn was also re-elected to House Minority Leadership and will continue to serve as Minority Whip for the 136th General Assembly.
