Rep. Isaacsohn Announces Ranking Member, Standing Committee Assignments

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Isaacoshn (D-Cincinnati) today announced his assignment as ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee for the 136th General Assembly. In addition, Rep. Isaacsohn will serve as a voting member on the House Finance Committee and House Energy Committee. 

“Ohioans need a state government that is focused on bringing down costs and improving their quality of life,” said Rep. Isaacsohn. “By serving on these committees, I will be laser-focused on the education, health, economic opportunity, and freedom that the people of the 24th district deserve.”

The House Judiciary Committee will primarily facilitate legislation on civil and criminal justice issues, legal proceedings, and the state judiciary. The House Finance Committee will be focused on state fiscal issues, namely developing and enacting the state’s biennial operating budget. The House Energy Committee is dedicated to reviewing legislation dealing with Ohio's energy production and industries. 

Rep. Isaacsohn has committed to using his ranking member appointment on the Judiciary Committee to ensure that the law is serving the interests of the people of Ohio - not the other way around.
