Speaker Rosenberger, Fellow Lawmakers Tour Polaris Industries in Wilmington

Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) and State Representative Niraj Antani (R-Miamisburg) today participated in a tour and media availability at Polaris Industries in Wilmington to mark the occasion of House Bill 429 going into effect. This legislation permits three-wheeled auto cycles to be driven by motorists who have a conventional driver's license. The law no longer requires obtaining a motorcycle endorsement to operate these vehicles.

State Representative Tim Ginter (R-Salem) today announced that he will be hosting a public community event in Columbiana County with Attorney General Mike DeWine to discuss the drug epidemic in Ohio and its impact on local communities.

Representative Derek Merrin (R-Monclova Township) has introduced legislation to repeal the Ohio Financial Institutions Tax (FIT) on Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs). The FIT became effective in Fiscal Year 2014 on financial institutions that do business in Ohio as a replacement for the corporate franchise tax.

In 2017, Speakers of the House and their Chiefs of Staff from across the United States will come to Ohio for the 26th annual meeting of the National Speakers Conference (NSC), a bipartisan event which will be hosted by Speaker Rosenberger.

 
 

Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) today announced that his office will be accepting applications for his respective appointments to the Medical Marijuana Advisory Committee. In accordance with the passage of House Bill 523, which permits the use of medical marijuana in the state, an advisory committee will be created to oversee the implementation of the new law.
