State Rep. Tim Ginter to Host Community Meeting with Attorney General DeWine to Discuss Drug Abuse Epidemic
State Representative Tim Ginter (R-Salem) today announced that he will be hosting a public community event in Columbiana County with Attorney General Mike DeWine to discuss the drug epidemic in Ohio and its impact on local communities.
“I’m looking forward to hosting this community meeting with Attorney General DeWine in order to discuss this very important issue,” Rep. Ginter said. “Given recent events in East Liverpool that have shed light on how horrific this drug epidemic can really be, it is important we work together, transcending all party affiliations, to find solutions as soon as possible in coordination with our local communities. Last year, I co-sponsored lifesaving legislation that provided easier access to naloxone in order to stem the tide of overdose deaths in the state, which has made it clear to me that when we all join together on this issue, real work can be done to curtail its damaging and deadly results.”
The community event will take place Tuesday, October 11th at 10 AM at a location to be determined in Columbiana County. More details will be forthcoming in the following weeks.
