Roemer Secures $850,000 for Child Guidance & Family Solutions
COLUMBUS—State Rep. Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) recently visited Child Guidance & Family Solutions in Akron to discuss their funding from Substitute House Bill 2, in conjunction with State Senator Roegner, the state’s two-year construction budget for capital projects across Ohio.
Specifically, Child Guidance & Family Solutions will receive $850,000 to construct trauma-informed clinical welcome centers, renovate outdoor treatment spaces, and modernize technology to streamline patient information with other healthcare entities.
“The behavioral health professionals at Child Guidance & Family Solutions are committed to helping more than 8,000 Ohioans annually,” said Roemer. “Funds from the Capital Budget will help the organization continue to provide mental health resources to those who need it. I am proud to secure funding that will help Ohioans of all ages receive the care they deserve.”
"We are deeply grateful to the State of Ohio and Representative Bill Roemer for his vital role in securing this essential funding for our organization," expressed Karen Talbott, President & CEO of Child Guidance & Family Solutions. "These capital funds will be used to assure expanded and convenient accessibility to services. This financial support is critically important given the heightened mental health needs of children and families today."
Substitute House Bill 2 was signed by Ohio Governor DeWine on June 28.
