COLUMBUS— The Ohio House of Representatives today passed Substitute House Bill 2, the state’s two-year construction budget for capital projects throughout the state, including the Strategic Community Investment Fund. The Capital Budget will make historic investments in local community projects, announced State Representative Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.).

COLUMBUS- The House Economic and Workforce Development Committee today began hearings on House Bill 469, legislation to establish the Ohio River Commission. The measure is championed by State Reps. Monica Robb Blasdel (R-Columbiana) and Don Jones (R-Freeport). 

COLUMBUS—The House Finance Committee today began hearings on House Bill 580, legislation to directly support foster and kinship caregivers throughout Ohio by alleviating the financial burden oftentimes associated with childcare, announced bill sponsor, State Rep. Sharon Ray (R-Wadsworth). 

COLUMBUS –The House Transportation Committee today passed House Bill 487, legislation to designate TSgt. Grover Lee Swearingen Memorial Highway, announced bill sponsor, State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County).

COLUMBUS –The House Families and Aging Committee yesterday passed House Bill 465, known as Lauren’s Law.

COLUMBUS—The Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of Unclaimed Funds recently announced it's currently holding $71.6 million in unclaimed funds belonging to residents and businesses in Stark County, announced State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton).  

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) is pleased to announce that the 90th House District will be awarded $320,494.62 as part of Ohio's County and Independent Fair Grant Program to support local fairgrounds.

COLUMBUS –State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) is pleased to announce that the Defiance, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert County fairs will receive funding as part of the Ohio County and Independent Fairs Grant Program.  

COLUMBUS –The Ohio House of Representatives last week unanimously passed House Bill 236, the Never Alone Act, announced State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County). Pizzulli signed on as a co-sponsor to the legislation.
