Rep. Huffman Releases Statement on Premier Health Plan Announcement
COLUMBUS—State Representative Stephen Huffman (R-Tipp City) today issued the following statement regarding Premier Health Plan’s decision to leave the insurance exchange:
“Premier Health Plan’s decision to leave the Ohio health insurance exchange is an unfortunate loss for our state. Their departure sheds light upon the urgent need for stability in the marketplace, and for solutions to be brought forth from the state and federal levels regarding the future of the healthcare industry. Uncertainty in the marketplace does not just impact insurance carriers, but ultimately limits options for businesses and families. It is my hope that we can work with both the federal government and the health insurance industry to create a better environment for insurers, providers, and patients in the state of Ohio.”
