COLUMBUS—The House Homeland Security Committee yesterday passed House Bill 222, legislation to create the “Continue Your Story” specialty license plate in Ohio, announced bill sponsor, State Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland).

COLUMBUS – The Ohio House Homeland Security Committee this week passed House Bill 232, announced State Reps. Jamie Callender (R-Concord) and Mike Loychik (R-Bazetta). This legislation will create a Historic and Patriotic Education license plate to support the educational and conservation work conducted by the Ohio Society, Sons of the American Revolution. 

COLUMBUS- The House Criminal Justice Committee today began hearings on House Bill 531, known as Braden’s Law, announced bill sponsors State Representatives Beth Lear (R-Galena) and Brian Lorenz (R-Powell). Braden’s Law would make sextortion a crime in Ohio.

COLUMBUS- State Representative Sarah Fowler Arthur (R-Ashtabula) is pleased to announce that Ashtabula and Geauga counties will receive an Ohio BUILDS (Broadband, Utilities, and Infrastructure for Local Development Success) Water Infrastructure Grant.

COLUMBUS—The House Ways and Means Committee today passed the Pet Friendly Rental Act, House Bill 277, announced bill sponsor, State Rep. Sharon Ray (R-Wadsworth).

COLUMBUS – Trew, LLC was recently awarded funding to support expansion efforts in Butler County, which will result in local economic development and job creation, announced State Rep. Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester).

COLUMBUS –State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) today introduced road naming legislation that will honor the sacrifices made by veterans.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Riordan McClain (R-Upper Sandusky) is pleased to announce that Morrow and Wyandot counties will receive significant funding for jail improvements through the Ohio Jail Safety and Security Program.

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) is pleased to announce that Adams County will be awarded $21,611,312 to support the construction of a new jail through the Ohio Jail Safety and Security Program.
