State Senator Joe Uecker (R-Miami Township), chairman, and State Representative Mike Duffey (R-Worthington), vice chairman, of the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review (JCARR) have formally introduced legislation in their respective chambers (SB 303 and HB 503) to reform Ohio’s state agency rulemaking to ensure rules are filed timely and in a fair manner.  The legislation is also co-sponsored by former JCARR Chairman, Sen. Frank LaRose (R-Copley Township) and current JCARR member, Rep. Cheryl Grossman (R-Grove City), and more than a dozen other legislators.

My job as a legislator, and representative of the 5th Ohio House District, is to shape, discuss and initiate legislation that supports the well-being of my constituents. With all of the changes and challenges in healthcare, it is important we regularly discuss what can be done to improve our healthcare system in Ohio.

State Representative Jonathan Dever (R-Madeira) today applauded the approval of assistance for various expansion projects around the state, including two in Hamilton County, by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) during its monthly meeting.

Representative Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) today announced that the Ohio Controlling Board approved the release of capital funds for improvement projects at North Central State College. The funds will be used for the Kee Hall Renovation project and the Fallerius Hall IT Data Center Infrastructure project in Mansfield, Richland County.

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) presented an Ohio House commendation honoring Eileen Jablonski Hawkins for her achievement of receiving the Cuyahoga Valley Chamber’s 2016 Person of the Year. 

State Representative Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) announced today that Site Selection Magazine has recognized both Fremont in Sandusky County and Tiffin in Seneca County as top micropolitan areas in the country. In a ranking of the top micropolitan areas nationally, both communities came in a tie for 39th according to the national economic development publication.
