COLUMBUS—State Representative Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville) today announced that the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) has approved a Job Creation Tax Credit for an expansion project by Camaco Manufacturing in Lorain County. Through the tax credit, the company will expand its operations by over 200 jobs and will solidify $18.7 million in existing payroll (approximately 450 existing jobs) that the company currently employs.

Camaco is the largest independent supplier of engineered seating solutions for the global automotive industry with a proven track record of completion from concept to product launch. The company prides itself on combining advanced engineering, manufacturing expertise, and financial strength to offer vehicle manufacturers seating components of unparalleled quality and value.

“This is an important step forward for Lorain County as we all work together to bolster the local economy and create good-paying jobs for our community residents,” Manning said. “Camaco Manufacturing is an important part of that process, and their ongoing presence and the commitment today from the state of Ohio reaffirms that.”

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority is a five-member independent board consisting of taxation and economic development professionals from throughout the state. The TCA is charged with reviewing and approving applications for tax credit assistance.
