COLUMBUS – The Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging (o4a) selected State Representative Sara Carruthers (R-Hamilton) as Legislator of the Year.

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Sharon Ray (R-Wadsworth) today was recognized by the Ohio Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers as the Children’s Champion of the Year. 

COLUMBUS – House Bill 111, which will raise the penalties for domestic violence offenders from a “low tier” third-degree felony to a “high tier” third-degree felony, passed the House Criminal Justice Committee 11-0. Bill sponsors, State Reps. LaRe (R-Violet Twp.) and Miller (R-Newark) were pleased to see unanimous support from the committee. 

COLUMBUS – The Ohio House of Representatives yesterday passed the Ohio Homeowners Relief Act, House Bill 187, announced bill sponsor, State Rep. Thomas Hall (R-Madison Twp.).

COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives yesterday passed House Resolution 292, announced State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County).

State Rep. Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) cosponsored and voted in favor of the Ohio Homeowners Relief Act on Wednesday, which was approved by the Ohio House of Representatives. Cutrona is a cosponsor of the bill and has consistently worked this year to provide property tax relief at the Statehouse.

State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) voted to approve a resolution on Wednesday that supports Israel. The legislation passed overwhelmingly in the Ohio House.
