COLUMBUS – State Rep. Tristan Rader (D-Lakewood) Wednesday applauded the bipartisan passage of House Bill (HB) 303 through the Ohio House of Representatives. This bill is a community energy pilot program to build community energy projects across the state of Ohio. Community energy projects, that include small-scale solar gardens and rooftop solar, bring power generation to the local level and save consumers money in transmission costs.

COLUMBUS — Rep. Tristan Rader (D-Lakewood) Wednesday condemned the passage of anti-voter Senate Bill (SB) 293 which places new burdens on voters by adding unnecessary hurdles to the voting process, shortening the time available for Ohioans to make their voices heard, and weakening essential accountability measures. 

COLUMBUS – State Reps. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown)  and Tristan Rader (D-Lakewood) Wednesday provided sponsor testimony in the House Energy Committee on House Bill (HB) 467, a bill banning public utilities from rate recovery for political expenditures, requiring greater political expenditure reporting, and fining utilities for violations. It is clear Ohio’s current regulatory framework has not worked in preventing previous violations which amounted to millions in illicit contributions. This bill’s goal is to change that, to be a guardrail and protect consumers from unnecessary riders and tariffs on their utility bills.
