COLUMBUS — State Rep. Tristan Rader (D- Cleveland) reacted to the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM)’s recent announcement that starting on September 15th companies will be able to bid on oil and gas leases on 2,840 acres of land in the Wayne National Forest.

COLUMBUS — Representative Tristan Rader (D–Lakewood) today welcomed the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s decision to not finalize a proposed statewide general wastewater discharge permit for data centers, opting instead to require individual National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits for facilities that discharge wastewater.

COLUMBUS – State Reps. Chris Glassburn (D-North Olmsted) and Sean Brennan (D-Parma) today announced the introduction of House Joint Resolution (HJR) 8 to place a ballot initiative granting 16-year-olds the right to vote in Ohio elections before voters in the November election.  

Environmental activists, conventional oil and gas producers and at least one member of the Ohio House called on the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) on Tuesday to launch a long-term investigation into the effects of underground migration of waste brine from injection oil and gas wells in Southeast Ohio into conventional oil and gas wells as well as the region’s water supply.
