Rep. Brennan Introduces Amendment to Double Homestead Exemption for Ohio Seniors

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (D-Parma) Wednesday introduced an amendment to House Bill (HB) 335 that would’ve doubled the Homestead Exemption for Ohio seniors and disabled homeowners, offering what he described as “substantive, noticeable, and state-funded property tax relief” for those struggling on fixed incomes. The amendment was tabled on the House floor, preventing this provision from being added to HB 335 which was passed in a later vote Wednesday.
