Over the past few weeks I’ve come across several things in the news that I wanted to share. A lot has been happening in the state of Ohio, including funding for water quality testing, a drop in drug overdose deaths, and record breaking gambling revenues.

The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation last week to revise campground laws and to update the scope of practice for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.

State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R–North Canton) announced the findings of Phase I of the Ohio Department of Transportation audit. State Auditor Keith Faber conducted Phase I of the ODOT audit in 2019. The Ohio Performance Team (OPT) reviewed several key areas of the department, including fleet management, construction inspection, and IT consultant management.
