The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation last week including assisting families in adopting children and updating Ohio’s cybercrime laws.

Over the past few weeks I’ve come across several things in the news that I wanted to share. A lot has been happening in the state of Ohio, including the release of a new draft of the Ohio Domestic Action Plan and coronavirus screening recommendations for paramedics and EMTs.

The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation two weeks ago including bills to give first responders PTSD coverage under the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and to establish the Chiropractic Loan Repayment Program.

The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation last week to revise campground laws and to update the scope of practice for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.

State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R–North Canton) announced the findings of Phase I of the Ohio Department of Transportation audit. State Auditor Keith Faber conducted Phase I of the ODOT audit in 2019. The Ohio Performance Team (OPT) reviewed several key areas of the department, including fleet management, construction inspection, and IT consultant management.
