Munira Yasin Abdullahi sworn in as state representative for Ohio House District 9

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Munira Yasin Abdullahi (D-Columbus) took the oath of office during the opening session of the 135th Ohio General Assembly at the Ohio Statehouse Tuesday, officially beginning Yasin Abdullahi’s term as state representative for Ohio House District 9. Yasin Abdullahi is the first Somali American and Muslim woman to serve in the Ohio legislature.

“I’m excited and honored to serve Ohio House District 9, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure a more equitable and better Ohio for all. I urge all my constituents to reach out to my office for any needs that I can assist with,” said Rep. Munira Yasin Abdullahi.
