Munira Abdullahi (D-Columbus), the first Muslim, Somali Representative to be elected into the Ohio House hosted the 3rd Annual Iftar Dinner at the Ohio Statehouse. The event celebrated the fast-breaking evening meal, called Iftar, during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Rep. Munira started this annual statehouse tradition in 2023. Guests of all backgrounds attended this year’s celebration.
