Columbiana County Port Authority to receive funding
COLUMBUS – The Columbiana County Port Authority will receive $175,000 in state funding through the Appalachian Community Grant Program.
State Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel (R-Columbiana County) announced Monday the region will receive $500,000 through the program for technical assistance grants to local organizations. The State Controlling Board approved the funding Monday.
“It’s great to see these investments coming to our communities as these projects are going to bolster our infrastructure, workforce, health care and much more across our region,” said Robb Blasdel.
Only local government and government-related entities are eligible to apply; however, the program encourages collaboration.
The next State Controlling Board meeting is scheduled for April 3.
