COLUMBUS – State Rep. COLUMBUS- State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) Tuesday announced that schools serving female students in grades 6-12 have until September 15th to submit a request for menstrual product dispenser funding. Schools will be required to provide free period products using state funding starting Tuesday, October 3rd. This $5 million initiative was included in the adopted state budget, House Bill (HB) 33. During the development of the House version of the budget, Rep. Grim was a passionate supporter of providing menstrual products in schools.

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) Monday announced that the Controlling Board approved $6M to develop, create, and implement a statewide public awareness campaign for the 988 Crisis and Suicide Lifeline in Ohio. The 988 hotline saw 12,000 contacts per month in its first year, which was funded exclusively with one-time federal dollars. Yesterday’s approval includes both state GRF funds and a federal mental health block grant.
