COLUMBUS — State Rep. Eric Synenberg (D-Beachwood) and Rep. Thomas Hall (R-Madison Twp.) today announced the passage of House Bill (HB) 188, to create the Ohio-Israel Trade and Innovation Partnership.
“I’m proud to see this bill passed out of the House. We are making it a priority to move Ohio’s economy forward,” said Rep. HB 188 will do the following:
- Create a seventeen-person commission who would represent various business and cultural interest groups to focus on exploring bilateral trade and collaborations;
- Foster business and academic exchanges;
- Promote economic support and infrastructure investment between Ohio and Israel; and
- Work to expand multilateral partnerships beyond Ohio and Israel regarding emerging technology and innovation opportunities, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and others.
HB 188 now heads to the Senate for consideration.
