Rep. Rogers Urges Voter Participation for August 8 Election
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers (D-Toledo) is reminding Ohioans that there is an election upcoming on August 8. The deadline to register for the election is July 10th, early in-person and mail-in voting begin on July 11th, and the absentee ballot application deadline is August 1st.
“Your voice matters. A “NO” vote on Issue 1 will ensure that citizens control their right to place issues on the ballot,” said Rep. Rogers.
Did you know?
· Ohio has a special election on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023.
· You must have a state issued photo ID to vote.
· You must make sure that your voter registration information matches your state photo ID.
· By voting “NO” on Issue 1, you protect YOUR vote and our democracy.
· You can update your voting status at your local library or county board of elections.
· You can get a state issued photo ID from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV).
