Rep. Rogers Urges Restoration of Funding for the Ohio Maritime Assistance Program

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers (D-Toledo) called for funding for the Ohio Maritime Assistance Program to be restored to $40,000,000. Rep. Rogers was joined by colleagues from both the House and Senate who also requested the funding be included in Conference Committee. 

“Funding for the Ohio Maritime Assistance Program is critical to ensuring the success of Ohio’s ports. The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority is a driver of economic growth in northwest Ohio and throughout the Midwest,” said Rep. Rogers. “These funds will create jobs and the opportunity for innovating more effective supply chains. It is important that we make this right. The success of Ohio’s ports will allow our state’s economy to grow and prosper.”
