Rep. Hall Honors the University of Akron Women's Swimming and Diving Team with Ohio House Resolution

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Derrick Hall (D-Akron) this week introduced House Resolution (HR) 428, a resolution to honor the University of Akron women’s swimming and diving team, with State Rep. Veronica Sims (D-Akron). The team secured the 2026 Mid-American Conference Championship for the fifth consecutive year.

“I am proud to introduce this resolution to recognize the incredible success and strong performance of the University of Akron women’s swimming and diving team. Their fifth consecutive Mid-American Conference crown is a testament to the hard work and dedication of these athletes and coaching staff,” said Rep. Hall.

HR 428 was adopted in the House Rules & Reference Committee this week.
