Rep. Hall Honors the University of Akron Men's Basketball Team with Ohio House Resolution

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Derrick Hall (D-Akron) this week introduced House Resolution (HR) 429 , a resolution to honor the University of Akron men’s basketball team, with State Rep. Veronica Sims (D-Akron). The team secured the 2026 Mid-American Conference Championship with a score of 79-76, earning the third consecutive league tournament crown.

“I am proud to introduce this resolution to honor the recent achievements of the University of Akron men’s basketball team. Their success in earning a third consecutive conference tournament crown demonstrates the consistent determination and hard work of the athletes and coaching staff,” said Rep. Hall.

HR 429 was adopted in the House Rules & Reference Committee this week.
