Rep. Hall Announces Ranking Member Appointment for House Veterans & Military Development Committee
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Derrick Hall (D-Akron) today announced that he has been appointed as ranking member for the House Veterans & Military Development Committee for the 136th General Assembly.
“I am honored to have been named as ranking member to the Veterans & Military Development committee. Ohio has the 6th largest veteran population out of any state in the country, and it is imperative that we do everything we can to repay our veterans for their service to our country. As a JAG officer in the US Army Reserves, I see first-hand how hard our service members work. I look forward to working with Chair Richardson, Vice Chair Mathews, and the entire committee to make Ohio the most veteran friendly state in the union,” said Rep. Hall.
The House Veterans & Military Development Committee will be focused on the work of improving healthcare for veterans, improve and expand Ohio’s veteran crisis hotline, and better connecting veterans with state resources.
Rep. Hall has committed to using his ranking member appointment to continue to ensure all Ohioans—no matter your race, gender or economic status—have the freedom to be who they are, the dignity of a safe community and secure job, and the opportunity to thrive.
