COLUMBUS – State Representative Jodi Salvo (R-Bolivar) today announced House passage of House Bill 472, a bipartisan measure designed to remove practical barriers that prevent individuals experiencing homelessness from obtaining the foundational documents required for work, housing, education, and health care.

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announces a $175,000 JobsOhio Revitalization Grant to Ericson Manufacturing in Willoughby, Ohio. The company, which specializes in temporary power and lighting products, will use this funding to support a 20,000 square-foot expansion of their Willoughby operation, creating 36 new jobs and retaining 84 current positions for the community.

COLUMBUS — State Reps. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) and Mark Sigrist (D-Grove City) today introduced a bill to reform the nomination process for commissioners on the Public Utilities Commission (PUCO). Among other changes, the bill would require one of the governor’s appointments to be nominated by the Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel, an independent statewide entity representing residential utility customers.  This follows the House Bill (HB) 6 scandal, a $60 million dark money bribery scheme that federal authorities later described as “one of the largest public corruption conspiracies in Ohio history.”

COLUMBUS - State Representative Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today sent a letter to Conn Selmer officials in Eastlake, Ohio and Elkhart, Indiana asking them to reconsider plans to close their brass instrument manufacturing plant in Eastlake. The closure, scheduled for June 2026, would result in the loss of 150 union jobs in the area.

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) Monday announced the approval of a Poly6 Technologies, Inc. facility to open in Eastlake, Ohio. This new Lake County location will create an estimated 164 new jobs for the area and generate $10.5 million in new annual payroll revenue. At its Monday meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 1.597% nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.

COLUMBUS – State Representatives Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) and David Thomas (R-Jefferson) Wednesday provided sponsor testimony to the House Local Government Committee on bipartisan legislation House Bill (HB) 493 to ban the sale of delinquent property tax certificates beginning in January 2027.

COLUMBUS — State Representative Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) served as a member of the Ohio Controlling Board Monday and voted to approve $191,110 in Higher Education Improvement funds for the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) to purchase new equipment for two Northeastern Ohio Medical Education facilities.

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announced that the City of Willoughby Hills has been awarded a $1,017,000 Traffic Safety Grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to support a sidewalk expansion project along SOM Center Road (SR-91) and Chardon Road (US-6), a key commercial corridor for the city.
