Representative Troy Announces $300,000 to Lakeland Community College for Infrastructure Upgrades
COLUMBUS - State Representative Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announced that the Ohio Controlling Board has approved $300,000 in funding for infrastructure upgrades at Lakeland Community College. The college will partner with Tec Inc. Engineering & Design, headquartered in Eastlake, to complete much-needed mechanical and electrical updates.
“These needed upgrades were brought to my attention some time ago by the Lakeland administration and the highly skilled folks at Tec Inc. Engineering & Design. I am pleased that we are able to get these state dollars to improve energy efficiency and increase student comfort at Lakeland,” said Rep. Troy.
Some campus buildings have not undergone substantial mechanical or electrical replacements or upgrades since their construction nearly 60 years ago. These long-overdue improvements will enhance the energy efficiency of Lakeland’s campus and provide a more comfortable environment for students, faculty, and staff.
