Ohio House Majority Caucus continues leadership on property tax relief efforts

(COLUMBUS, OHIO)—State Representative Marilyn John (R-Richland County) recently voted to concur on Senate amendments to House Bills 129, 309, 186, and 335 – four initiatives championed by House Republicans that work to curb spikes and provide direct property tax relief to Ohioans, totaling more than $2.4 billion in savings.  

 
 

COLUMBUS – Governor DeWine signed the Escaped Convict Alert Program (ECAP) into law on Monday. Introduced by State Representatives Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) and Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.), this legislation will strengthen public safety through a new alert system which will notify residents when a nearby convict escapes from custody. 

 
 

The Ohio House of Representatives has passed House Bill 533, legislation that designates May as “Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month.”

HB 535 requires employers to keep jobs of out-of-state service personnel

The Ohio House today unanimously passed House Bill 535, sponsored by State Representative Rick Perales (R-Beavercreek), which requires Ohio employers to hold the employment position of any out-of-state National Guard member who is called to serve in the state in which they are enlisted.
