(COLUMBUS)—State Representatives Jamie Callender (R-Concord) and Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) recently introduced legislation to scale back the discretionary rulemaking authority that has been given to state agencies. House Bill 775 would claw back the authority of state agencies to promulgate rules under vague authority, often called ‘catch all’ provisions, while creating a procedure to establish stronger oversight regarding agencies’ ability to expand their authority in the future. 

 
 

COLUMBUS—State Representatives Mike Odioso (R-Green Twp.) and Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.) are pleased to announce that the Ohio House of Representatives today passed the “SHE WINS” Act, legislation that ensures a woman’s right to make a fully informed decision about an elective abortion without modifying provisions in the Ohio Constitution.  

 
 

State Representatives Thomas Hall (R-Madison Twp.) and Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.) announced that the Ohio House of Representatives passed House Bill 203, legislation that aims to protect Ohio students crossing the street in active school zones and prevent accidents. 

 
 

The Ohio House of Representatives yesterday passed House Bill 249, the Indecent Exposure Modernization Act, sponsored by Angie King (R-Celina) and Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.). The legislation strengthens Ohio law to protect children from harmful and obscene adult performances and reinforce privacy in private spaces such as restrooms and locker rooms.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Beth Lear (R-Galena) yesterday voted in support of the Indecent Exposure Modernization Act, legislation that protects Ohio’s children, preserves family values, and updates Ohio’s outdated obscenity laws. The bill establishes important measures to protect children from being exposed to cabaret performances that are marketed to adults with adult themes, imagery, and performances, while also preserving the free speech rights of performers.

State Representatives Mike Odioso (R-Green Twp.) and Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) yesterday held a press conference to discuss House Bill 683, companion legislation to Senator Thomas Patton’s (R-Strongsville) Senate Bill 350.
