COLUMBUS – State Representative Beth Lear (R-Galena) today announced the Ohio House of Representatives passed House Concurrent Resolution 35, legislation urging Congress to reform federal permitting and environmental review processes to speed up the development of energy infrastructure nationwide.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Beth Lear (R-Galena) yesterday voted in support of the Indecent Exposure Modernization Act, legislation that protects Ohio’s children, preserves family values, and updates Ohio’s outdated obscenity laws. The bill establishes important measures to protect children from being exposed to cabaret performances that are marketed to adults with adult themes, imagery, and performances, while also preserving the free speech rights of performers.

State Representatives Beth Lear (R-Galena) and Kevin Ritter (R-Marietta) provided sponsor testimony before the House Local Government Committee for House Bill 466 – legislation that would require specific local government subdivisions to obtain approval from their legislative authority before imposing new property taxes.
