COLUMBUS — Earlier this week Ohio House Democrats spent Tax-Day highlighting Democrat-led bills that create real opportunities for tax relief for Ohioans under the greatest financial strain and that will positively benefit the economy. These videos are in direct contrast to the continued tax cuts for the wealthiest residents that Republicans have pursued, including a $1.4 billion handout exclusively for the wealthiest Ohioans and a budget that makes cuts to programs that the majority of Ohioans either rely on or benefit from. Republicans’ two decades of insisting that income tax for the wealthiest Ohioans would trickle down to the rest of Ohio has proven to be incorrect on nearly every metric as cost-of-living is higher than ever and Ohio’s economy continues to lag the nation and the region.

House Bill (HB) 768 allows county Jobs and Family Services offices to exclude family income when determining eligibility for publicly funded childcare.
