Sean Patrick Brennan (D-Parma) today announced that NatureWorks Local Outdoor Recreation Grant Program, in a continued effort to promote outdoor recreation opportunities across Ohio, has successfully awarded $2,967,910 in funding for 76 community-based projects. This year, a total of 142 applications were received from local governments in 64 counties, requesting a total of $6,765,385 in funding. After a thorough evaluation process, these projects were selected to improve parks, playgrounds, and other recreational areas, benefiting communities statewide.
