COLUMBUS — State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (Parma) today announced that he has issued a proclamation recognizing the third anniversary of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.

“Ohio is home to over 44K Ukrainian residents, with the largest concentration living in my district of Parma and Parma Heights,” said Rep. Brennan. “I want all of my Ukrainian constituents to know that my thoughts and prayers are with them and that I will continue to spread the truth about the invasion.”

The proclamation states: “On February 24, 2022, Russia, led by dictator Vladimir Putin, violated international law by invading Ukraine, escalating the Russo-Ukrainian War.”

Last General Assembly, Rep. Brennan worked with former State Rep. Bill Seitz (R-Cincinnati) to pass House Bill 360, which recognizes August 24th as Ukrainian Independence Day in Ohio.

Rep. Brennan also supported a recent memorandum of cooperation with Ukraine’s Kharkiv Regional Council, which aims to strengthen economic and cultural ties between Ohio and Ukraine.
