Rep. Brennan Celebrates Two-Year Anniversary of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (D-Parma) today celebrates the two-year anniversary of President Joe Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and its historic impact on Ohio. The Biden Administration has announced nearly $400 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding for specific projects and awards across over 4,500 communities throughout the United States. 

“Investing in infrastructure improves the safety and overall quality of life in our communities.  It lures investment to our state, resulting in the creation of good paying jobs and bolsters our overall economy.  I am very pleased about the investments being made throughout Ohio, particularly in our roads, bridges, internet access, and public transportation in northeast Ohio,” said Rep. Brennan.

To date, $10.4 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding has been announced and is headed to Ohio with over 332 specific projects identified for funding, including:

  •  $7.4B announced for roads, bridges, roadway safety, & major projects, including $2.9 million for Ridge Road and $329,900 for W. 150th Street, among others
  • $518.5M allocated to improve public transit over five years, including $130 million for new R.T.A. rail vehicles
  • $793.7M received through the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program (BEAD) to provide high-speed internet access;
  • $650M announced to provide clean and safe water, improve water infrastructure;
  • $298.9M allocation for clean energy, energy efficiency, and power;
  • $181.2M allocated for infrastructure resilience to climate change and extreme weather;
  • $129.2M allocated for capping orphaned oil and gas wells and reclaiming abandoned mine lands.;
  • $109.9M received for airport infrastructure; and,
  • $80.4M allocated to build the first-ever national network of electric vehicle chargers in the United States.

By reaching communities all across Ohio, the law makes critical investments that will improve lives for Ohioans and position the state for success.
