Rep. Brennan Calls for Action to Ensure Ohio's Rail Safety Following East Palestine Disaster
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (D- Parma), along with members of the House Democratic Caucus, today sent a letter to the Ohio House Finance Committee and the Ohio House Transportation Subcommittee of Finance suggesting a series of amendments to the State Transportation Budget following the tragic events in East Palestine.
“My prayers are with the residents in and around East Palestine at this time. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to ensure that we do everything in our power as a state to bring safety and normalcy to their lives and to prevent this type of disaster from occurring again,” said Rep. Brennan.
The Ohio House Finance Committee is scheduled to meet next on Tuesday, February 21st and the biennial Transportation Budget must be passed by Friday, March 31st.
