Rep. Fowler Arthur Highlights Capitol Square Foundation School Transportation Grant
State Representative Sarah Fowler Arthur (R-Ashtabula) today announced that the application for the Capitol Square Foundation (CSF) School Transportation Grant is now open and will close September 22 at 11:59 p.m.
“It is critically important for Ohio’s students to learn about our institutions, government, and fundamental rights,” said Rep. Fowler Arthur. “Touring the state capitol, something many adults wish they could have done as a child, engaging in the interactive statehouse museum and having the opportunity to sit in on committees or sessions allows a kinesthetic learning experience that not only benefits the student experience but lays the foundation for future civic engagement. These grants will ease the financial burden faced by many districts and remove barriers to participants throughout the State of Ohio. I hope schools across the 99th district will engage in the learning opportunity, and I look forward to welcoming many more students from northeast Ohio to the Statehouse in the coming year!”
The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) and CSF will award 81 schools across Ohio, helping cover the cost of school bus transportation to the Ohio Statehouse and its museum.
