Board Approved Funds Allocated to Ashtabula

COLUMBUS – State Representative Sarah Fowler Arthur (R-Ashtabula) announced the state controlling board has approved the release of funding to Ashtabula County as a part of the NatureWorks project.
The NatureWorks Project was established in 1993 by the voters and has helped facilitate 2300 projects throughout the state’s 88 counties since its inception.
“The NatureWorks program is a wonderful program that helps improve our parks throughout the state and I am happy to report that two projects in Ashtabula County will receive funding,” said Fowler Arthur.
Area Projects to receive grants:
- Ashtabula County – Conneaut Creek Metropark received $47,006 for a staircase to be built to improve access to Conneaut Creek
- Ashtabula County – Conneaut Township Park will receive $35,000 to resurface a wooden boardwalk
These projects are among 115 others throughout the state that were awarded funding by the state Controlling Board.
