Ferguson Sworn In to Second Term as State Representative for Ohio's 96th House District
COLUMBUS – State Representative Ron Ferguson (R-Wintersville) was sworn in on Tuesday for his second term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 96th House District, which includes all of Jefferson and Monroe Counties and a portion of Belmont County.
Raised in the Ohio Valley, Representative Ferguson graduated from Indian Creek High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from The Ohio State University. During his time at OSU, Representative Ferguson was a Politics, Society and Law Scholar.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to once again serve the people of the 96th district,” Ferguson said. “I am eager to get to work and continue to better the lives of all Ohioans, especially those in Jefferson, Monroe, and Belmont Counties.”
Representative Ferguson spent five years working as a television journalist, most recently for WTOV-TV in Steubenville, and in spring 2023, he is opening an entertainment center to bring jobs and fun activities for families in the community.
Tuesday’s swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of the 135th General Assembly.
