Robb Blasdel Issues Update on East Palestine Train Derailment and Controlled Release

State Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel (R-Columbiana County) has issued the following update regarding the East Palestine train derailment and the controlled release: 

“After the successful results of the controlled release, our community is truly blessed. This is a situation that could have gone from bad to worse, much worse. However, with the support from local officials, trained professionals, first responders, the National Guard, and our Governor, we came together to ensure the safety and mitigation of destruction for the community of East Palestine.  I thank everyone who played a part in making these efficient and effective solutions possible during these dire circumstances. As this is an ongoing situation, we are working with various agencies and organizations to address air quality concerns, needs of the farming community, and handling other critical factors resulting from this event.
