Rep. Robb Blasdel Champions Regional Projects, Votes in Support of Capital Budget Bill

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel (R-New Waterford) today voted in support of Ohio’s Capital Budget bill, a two-year capital improvements budget for community projects throughout the state totaling nearly $4 billion.
The bill provides appropriations for state infrastructure needs, including renovations to state offices, new construction for mental health facilities, land acquisition, and equipment. The plan also includes just over $200 million for community projects, which are projects that come from outside of state agencies and have a benefit or nexus to the state.
All 88 counties will receive funding for community projects.
Rep. Robb Blasdel helped secure investments for the following community projects in District 79:
$63,000, Carroll County Dog Park, Carroll County
$450,000, Carroll County Fairgrounds Grandstands Rehabilitation, Carroll County
$450,000, Sandy Valley Trail Connection Project, Carroll County
$100,000, Camp Braveheart Pavilion and Trails Project, Columbiana County
$300,000, Columbiana Project Playground, Columbiana County
$100,000, East Palestine Pavilion Restoration Project, Columbiana County
$115,000, Wurster Memorial Splashpad & Amphitheater Improvements, Columbiana County
$110,000, Columbiana County Fairgrounds Junior Fair Multi-Species Livestock Facility, Columbiana County
$150,000, Lisbon Swimming Pool Improvements, Columbiana County
$600,000, Salem City Village Green Park (Lincoln Plaza), Columbiana County
$100,000, Salem Community Theatre Seating Replacement Project, Columbiana County
"Securing these investments for the 79th District is a reflection of the vision our communities have shared with my office. In Columbiana and Carroll County, these projects will make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of our residents," said Rep. Robb Blasdel. "I am grateful to have had the opportunity to advocate for these projects, and I look forward to seeing these improvements take shape across our communities."
Through this bill, Ohio House Republicans prioritized investing in Ohio’s future by expanding access to education and healthcare through new facilities or upgrades to existing ones, improving parks and roadways to better connect communities, and strengthening local facilities across the state by providing necessary funding for enhancements.
This bill now heads to the Governor for consideration.
