Odioso Sworn in to Serve Ohio's 30th House District
COLUMBUS – State Representative Mike Odioso (R-Green Twp.) took the oath of office Monday for his first term as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 30th House District, which includes parts of western townships and municipalities in Hamilton County.
“I am truly honored to advocate as a strong voice for the 30th House District,” said Odioso. “I look forward to getting to work on legislation to make Ohio a better place to live, work and raise a family.”
Odioso is a long-time resident of Hamilton County, graduating from St. Xavier High School and earning his undergraduate and juris doctor degrees from the University of Cincinnati.
He retired as an educator at St. Xavier High School for 29 years where he taught Government, Economics, Modern World History, U.S. History, World Cultures and American Civil War. He is a leader and co-founder of the Ohio Coalition for Person-Centered Planning parent DD/ID advocacy group and recently served two years on Hamilton County’s Developmental Disability Services Board. He also served on the board of three charter schools.
Odioso and his wife, Leslie, reside in Green Township where they have been active members in St. Ignatius Parish where he served on parish council.
Odioso was sworn in during Monday’s session, which marked the beginning of the 136th General Assembly.
