Ohio House Passes Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act

State Representatives Gary Click (R-Vickery) and Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) today announced that the Ohio House of Representatives passed House Bill 486 – the Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act – legislation that works to preserve the ability for educators to discuss the positive impact of religion on American history, highlighting its consistency with freedom of speech and emphasizing how imperative it is to reduce politically motivated hate and violence in society.

Representative Dovilla Votes in Support of Bill to Streamline BMV License Renewal Notification Process

State Representative Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) today voted in support of House Bill 258 – legislation that would streamline the Registrar of Motor Vehicles’ license renewal process by electronically notifying Ohioans to renew their license no less than 15 days before it expires.

Good evening.

It is my solemn honor to welcome you to the Ohio Statehouse as we commemorate the twenty-fourth anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001. I am deeply grateful to join my colleagues and friends—Senator Hearcel Craig, Secretary of State Frank LaRose, and State Fire Marshal Kevin Reardon—each of whom will offer their reflections tonight. We thank them, and all of you gathered here, for standing together in remembrance.
