COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives today passed Senate Bill 450, Ohio’s Capital Budget bill – a two-year capital improvements budget for state and community projects throughout the state totaling nearly $4 billion. 

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – State Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) and some members of the House Veterans and Military Development Committee took a tour of the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center – also known as the Lima Army Tank Plant – in Lima, Ohio. Richardson and members of the committee were joined by Speaker Matt Huffman (R-Lima) for the tour and committee meeting.

The Ohio House of Representatives today voted to concur on Senate amendments to House Bills 129, 309, 186, and 335 – four initiatives championed by House Republicans that make systematic reforms to curb spikes and provide direct property tax relief to Ohioans, totaling more than $2.4 billion in savings. The package of bills now goes to the Governor’s desk for his signature.

Speaker Matt Huffman (R-Lima) today announced that the Ohio House of Representatives passed Senate Bill 293 – legislation sponsored by State Senators Theresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green) and Andrew Brenner (R-Delaware) – that would require all mailed absentee ballots to be delivered to the board of elections by poll closing on Election Day.
